Lenore Montanaro

About

American poet and cancer survivor known for a poetry collection entitled The Morning Within the Dark. Her poems often deal with themes of death and suffering.

Before Fame

She graduated from College of the Holy Cross and went on to study law at Western New England University.

Trivia

She was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma at age five and lost her right leg to the disease in 2002.

Family Life

Her brother John died of leukemia in 2011.
