He graduated from Juilliard with a BFA and made his acting debut in a 2002 episode of the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Family Life

He began dating fashion photographer Carter Smith in 2009. The couple ended their relationship in 2015. He has two siblings, William and Sally. In 2017, he began dating Matthew Foley, and they got married in 2022.
