Before Fame

The daughter of professional actor Tony Booth, she trained at the London Academy of Performing Arts and subsequently acted with several touring theater troupes. After abandoning her acting career to pursue journalism, she penned a London Evening Standard column titled "About Town."

She became a Muslim in 2010 and, in 2012, helped establish an organization called Peace Trail.

Her marriage to Craig Darby produced two children and ended in divorce in 2010. She later entered a relationship with Sohale Ahmed.
