About

Greek singer, songwriter, performer, director, TV presenter, and writer known for his eclectic musical style that blends Mediterranean and Balkan elements with jazz and bossa nova influences, and for his albums Radiopiratis, Maraveyas Ilegal, Welcome to Greece, and Lola.

Before Fame

He moved to Italy to attend university. He studied Statistics and Mathematics at the University of Bari while at the same time he developed his musical skills at the Conservatory Niccolò Piccini of Bari. He studied piano, harmony, counterpoint, and fugue. He played with bands such as Yamas and X Darawish while in Italy. He returned to Greece in 2001 and embarked on a solo music career. He released his debut album Radiopiratis in 2003.

Trivia

He can sing in multiple languages, including Greek, English, Spanish, and Italian. He served as a judge on the Greek version of The Voice from 2017 to 2019 and won all three seasons with his team. He won Best Composer at the Athinorama People's Choice Theatre Awards in 2014. He won two MAD Video Music Awards in 2011 for Best Duet and Best Alternative Video Clip. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Agrinio, Greece. He married Tonia Sotiropoulou in 2021.
