Kjersti Oestgaard Buaas

About

Four-time Olympic snowboarder whose top finish in the sport was a Bronze medal for Women's Halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Games. She won a Bronze at the 2012 X Games in the Slopestyle event as well.

Before Fame

She turned professional as a snowboarder in 2000. She won a local big jump contest in 1996, and won the World Junior Championships in 1999.

Trivia

She finished as the World #3 on 2007/2008 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour. She launched a signature line of snowboard gear called KJ.

Family Life

She was born in Trondheim, Norway.
