Kirk Shepherd

About

Famous as the youngest darts player in history to compete in the World Professional Darts Championship, he achieved a runner-up finish in the 2008 event. He went on to win the Hampshire Open and the Newark Open, among other competitions.

Before Fame

When he was just seventeen years old, he won the British Darts Organization's Winmau World Youth Masters competition. A year later, he was the British Teenage Darts Singles champion.

Trivia

He competed under a number of humorous pseudonyms, including the Martial Dartist, Karate Kid, and Young Gun.

Family Life

A native of Ramsgate, Kent, he later settled in Birmingham, England.

He was defeated by Canadian darts player John Part in the 2008 World Professional Darts Championship.
