Best recognized as a member of the South Korean ballad trio SG Wannabe which debuted in 2004. The group rapidly became known after the success of their first single "Timeless." He is also a solo artist and began his solo career in 2009. 

Before Fame

SG Wannabe debuted in 2004 with the inaugural album SG Wanna Be+. The group was notoriously mysterious from the start as none of the members showed their faces or starred in music videos. 

Trivia

In 2012, he went on hiatus from SG Wannabe to enlist in his military service. The band returned in 2015 with the EP The Voice. 

Family Life

He and his girlfriend, actress Hwang Jung-eum, appeared on the second season of the reality show We Got Married in 2009.

SG Wannabe won a M.net KM Music Festival award in 2008 for Best OST for "Against Fate" which featured Kim Jong-wook.
