Kevin Sylvester

American violinist also known as Kev Marcus best known as one half of the acclaimed hip-hop strings duo Black Violin. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Kanye West, 50 Cent and Lupe Fiasco.

Before Fame

He began taking music classes in the fifth grade. He later attended the Dillard High School of Performing Arts and Florida International University.

Trivia

He performed with Jordin Sparks at the U.S. Open.

Family Life

His mother was the person who urged him to pursue music.
