Kendrick Scott

About

American jazz drummer and founder of the World Culture Music Record Company. He has been a member of the groups such as Oracle, the Berklee-Monterey Quartet, and the Charles Lloyd Quartet. He has also performed alongside numerous artists including Pat Metheny, Joe Lovano, Kenny Garrett and Dianne Reeves.

Before Fame

He majored in music education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

Trivia

He was awarded The Clifford Brown/Stan Getz Fellowship by the International Association for Jazz Education and The National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts.

Family Life

He was born and raised in Houston, Texas. His parents got him and his older brother involved in the music ministry from a young age.

Associated With

He was part of the band that accompanied artist Terence Blanchard to the Monterey Jazz Festival's 50th Anniversary in 2007.
