British teacher and education reformer who is known as the founder and head teacher of Michaela Community School, a free school established in 2014. She is the author of two books, Singleholic and To Miss with Love. She is the editor of Battle Hymn of the Tiger Teachers: The Michaela Way and Michaela: The Power of Culture.

She graduated from the University of Oxford.

Trivia

In 2007, she began hosting a blog, To Miss with Love, under the name Miss Snuffy. In October 2021, she was appointed chair of the Social Mobility Commission.

Her parents are Frank Birbalsingh and Norma. She has a younger sister.

She offered her support to the education policies of the Conservative Party and the reforms made by Michael Gove during his tenure as Education Secretary.
