He graduated from Colegio San Carlos in Bogotá, Colombia in 1984.

He won the TVyNovelas Award Colombia to Favorite Supporting Actor in a Telenovela in 2015. 

Family Life

He married Ana de la Lastra and they have two children named Matilda and Elías.
