Joseph Stockdale

About

Equestrian rider and son of Olympic show jumper Tim Stockdale. He was selected to represent his country as part of the Junior Nations Cup squad in 2017. In 2019, he won the U25 class at Royal Windsor Horse Show. In 2022 at age 21, he was the youngest of the four show jumpers picked to represent Great Britain at the world championships.

Before Fame

He grew up around horses. He was a member of the Oakley Hunt West Pony Club as a child. He started with mounted games competitions before moving onto tetrathlon, showjumping and cross-country.

Trivia

In 2018, he had a contract lined up to play cricket in Australia. His started pursuing show jumping instead, after he suffered a stress injury to his cruciate ligament.

Family Life

In November 2018, his father died of stomach cancer. His mother is named Laura. He has a brother named Mark.
