John Pitcairn

About

British Marine officer who was in Boston, Massachusetts at the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. He was shot by a former black slave and fell into the arms of his son.

Before Fame

He joined the Royal Marines and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in 1746.

Family Life

He married Elizabeth Dalrymple, who was a daughter of Robert Dalrymple.
