John Duff

About

Race car driver remembered as one of the true legends of Canadian racing, having set more than 50 world records and becoming the first Canadian to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. He was one of the early faces of the Bentley care company and was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame.

Before Fame

was born in Kiukiang, China. He joined the army in 1914 and was seriously injured in the Third Battle of Ypres.

Trivia

He opened a fencing academy in Los Angeles, where he trained big name Hollywood stars and worked as a stunt double in sword fight scenes.

Family Life

He married the nurse who treated him for his injuries sustained in the Third Battle of Ypres.
