Prior to The Filharmonic he was in another a cappella group Fermata Nowhere who won the USC Absolute A Cappella Showdown in 2003 and the same year were semifinalists in the Western Division of the ICCA.

Trivia

He and the group appeared in the hit a cappella film Pitch Perfect 2 and later were guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
