Instagram star, professional diver, and marine biologist known for her content centering on shark education and conservation and for founding the educational site Sharks4Kids. She has garnered over 60,000 followers on her growing biminisharkgirl account. 

Before Fame

She told her parents she wanted to be a marine biologist when she was five years old and continued developing her passion throughout her childhood. She attended the University of New England to earn her degree in marine biology and began her professional marine biology career in 2005. In 2013 she launched Sharks4Kids.com with the goal of educating kids about sharks and becoming shark advocates. In 2013 she also began posting more on social media. 

Trivia

She was named Scuba Diving Magazine's July 2016 Sea Hero, awarded the inaugural Shark Con Shark Hero Award in 2017, and was the Go Blue Awards 2020 Blue Ambassador of the Year. She is also the author of Norman the Nurse Shark and Shark Super Powers. 

Family Life

She was born and raised in Maine. Her parents were also passionate about the water and marine life. She shares a birthday with her father. She married in 2008 and has a daughter.
