Before Fame

Until early 2016, he was working as an emergency-room physician at the Virgen de las Nieves hospital in Granada. He had also started a nonprofit, the Spiribol Foundation, using sports as a way to integrate kids at risk of social exclusion.

Trivia

His Facebook video protesting the effects of the hospital merger in Granada grew into a protest movement. He is also recognized for his signature sign-off, "yeah." Spiriman is the nickname kids gave him for the name of the Spiribol Foundation he created. Spiribol is a sport that his grandfather invented.
