Jason Delay

About

Professional catcher that was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates during the fourth round of the 2017 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played collegiate baseball at Vanderbilt University. In 2014, he won the NCAA World Series after defeating the University of Virginia.

Before Fame

He initially began his professional career playing for the Bristol Pirates. He played in 29 games with the team before being promoted. 

Trivia

He was a college teammate of Walker Buehler and Dansby Swanson. His college teammate, Walker, won the World Series in 2020 as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers while his other college teammate, Dansby, won the World Series in 2021 as a member of the Atlanta Braves. 

Family Life

He is a native of Plano, Texas. Growing up, he lived with his parents and his two siblings.
