Jack Lousma

About

American space shuttle commander of STS-3 and member of the 2nd manned crew on the Skylab space station. He was selected as part of the 1966 NASA Group.

Before Fame

He received a B.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a M.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.

Trivia

He ran for Michigan senate as a Republican nominee in 1984 but was not elected.

He married Gratia Kay in 1956.
