Sports journalist best recognized for his coverage of college football for ESPN. He is also known for his discussions on podcasts including with ESPN's Down & Distance. 

Before Fame

He attended Stanford University and started his career with the Dallas Morning News in 1987. He gained further attention in 1994 when he joined Newsday and again in 1997 when he joined Sports Illustrated. 

Trivia

He has been honored with several Best Story awards from the Football Writers Association of America often for work originally published in ESPN. 

Family Life

He has a brother named Elliot and a sister named Kathy.
