Ivan Konev

About

Soviet general and Marshal of the Soviet Union who is recognized for having led Red Army forces at the Eastern front amidst the second World War. He is credited as having taken most of Axis-occupied Eastern Europe.

Before Fame

In 1917, he served in the Kerensky Offensive. The following year, he joined the Bolsheviks movement during Russia's revolution.

Trivia

His memoirs titled Forty-Five were released in 1969. He is buried in the Kremlin Wall Necropolis.
