Heidi Voight

About

After winning the 2006 Miss Connecticut pageant, Voight competed in Miss America 2007 and subsequently worked as a traffic reporter for a Connecticut NBC affiliate.

Before Fame

In her late teens and early twenties, she attended Southern Connecticut State University and performed with Connecticut rock bands called Ankora and The Defcon Five.

Trivia

Having suffered abuse and assault during her teenage years, she made sexual violence prevention her beauty pageant "platform" and continued to promote the cause following her year as Miss Connecticut.

Family Life

She was born and raised in Milford, Connecticut, and she later lived and worked in West Hartford.

Associated With

Four decades apart, Voight and screen actress Joy Harmon both competed in the Miss Connecticut pageant.
