At the start of World War II, he was involved in the German Occupation of Czechoslovakia, also called the Annexation of the Sudetenland.

He took part in the Nazi Invasion of Poland and the Battle of France.

Family Life

He was born and raised in the village of Rossla, Germany. He died in Nuremberg at the age of seventy-nine.
