Georgia Hubley

American drummer and singer who is one of the original members of the band Yo La Tengo, which she co-founded in 1984. 

Before Fame

She met her husband, Yo La Tengo guitarist and vocalist Ira Kaplan, when the two would hang out in the same record stores. Bonding over music, they started jamming together. 

Trivia

She is also an artist and has designed several of the band's albums cover art. 

Family Life

Her parents are animators John and Faith Elliott Hubley. She has a sister, filmmaker Emily Hubley.

In 2013 her band collaborated with Ira Glass and Eugene Mirman on their holiday song "Toymageddon".
