George Clymer

American politician and founding father who was one of the first Patriots to advocate for complete independence from Britain.

He led demonstrations in Philadelphia against the Tea Act and the Stamp Act.

Trivia

He was one of only five people to sign both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution and he was elected to the first U.S. Congress in 1789.

Family Life

He had nine children with Elizabeth Meredith, though four of them died during infancy.
