Gary Robbins

Canadian endurance athlete famous for his ultramarathon running abilities. He has attempted the infamous Barkley Marathons course multiple times. In the year 2016, he said he hallucinated from sleep deprivation during a failed attempt. In January of 2022, he removed himself from the start list, saying he wanted to spend more time with his son.

Before Fame

He played hockey growing up. He attended Memorial University in Newfoundland for a semester before moving to western Canada and working at the Banff Springs Hotel.

Trivia

In the year 2018, he starred in a documentary called Where Dreams Go to Die. He also appeared in a 2014 documentary titled The Race that Eats Its Young. He has earned more than 90,000 followers on his garyrobbins Instagram account.

Family Life

He and his wife Linda have a son named Reed.
