Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois

About

Famous for leading a student activist group known as CLASSE in a fight against higher education tuition increases proposed by Quebec Premier Jean Charest, he is also notable for his Governor General's Award-winning activism memoir, Tenir Tete.

Before Fame

After receiving his bachelor's degree in sociology from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal, he entered the philosophy graduate program at the Universite de Montreal.

Trivia

Prior to his involvement in CLASSE, he belonged to another student activist organization-- ASSE (the Association pour une Solidarite Syndicale Etudiante).

Family Life

The son of fellow activist Gilles Dubois, he was raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
