Before Fame

After teaching kindergarten for a time, she competed in such modeling competitions as Dewi Remaja, I Wanna Be a Model, and Miss Malaysia Tourism.

Trivia

At age twenty, she was a finalist in the Miss Chinese World Malaysia beauty pageant. Four years later, she was a Miss Universe Malaysia runner-up.

Family Life

She was raised in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. In 2014, shortly after beginning to wear a hijab, she announced her conversion to Islam.

She and fellow Malaysian fashion model Amber Chia were both born in the 1980s.
