Evan Green

About

Initially famous as a rally racer in events such as the London-Sydney Marathon and the Round Australia Trial, Green later became known for his Seven Network motorsports commentary, as well as for his rally-themed articles and his half a dozen novels. His debut novel, Alice to Nowhere, was adapted into a 1986 miniseries.

Before Fame

In the 1960s, he began providing television commentary during the Bathurst 1000 race.

Trivia

A 1972 article he penned for The Sun-Herald sparked an Australian controversy known as the "Supercar Scare."

Family Life

He grew up near Sydney, Australia. His son Gavin had a career as a sports magazine editor.
