Emre Altug

About

Famous for his hit song "Sensiz Olmuyor" and for his starring role in the television series of the same title, this Turkish pop singer and screen actor is also notable for his album Kisiye Ozel (2007) and for his collaboration with Melih Kibar on the hit single "Bir de Bana Sor" (2000).

Before Fame

After studying theater at Istanbul University, he released his debut album Ibreti Alem (English translation: A Lesson for Everyone).

Trivia

In 2006, he starred as Aslan in the television miniseries Gulpare.

Family Life

The son of a Turkish dentist, Altug spent his youth in Istanbul. In late 2008, he married fashion model Cagla Sikel.

Early in his career, he sang backup vocals for Turkish pop diva Sezen Aksu.
