English king that reigned from 1042 to 1066. He brought back the House of Wessex after Danish rule. He was named king at the cathedral of Winchester.

Trivia

His wife's brother Harold Godwinson took the role of king after his death. His brother, Edgar the Etheling, became king in 1066, which lasted for eight weeks. He claimed to be a saint. During his childhood, England was the target of Viking raids and invasions under Sweyn Forkbeard.
