Domee Shi

About

Animator, director, and screenwriter who began to gain fame in the film industry for her work as a storyboard artist for Inside Out. She also contributed her artistic talents to The Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4. She made her directorial debut with the short film Bao and went on to direct Pixar's Turning Red. 

Before Fame

She studied animation at Sheridan College. 

Trivia

In 2019, her short film, Bao, won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. She shares illustrations on her domeeshi Instagram account, where she has gained upwards of 100,000 followers. 

Family Life

Her father was a painter and professor of fine arts.
