Before Fame

Before beginning her career as a belly dancer, she earned her master's degree in Philosophy at the Ain Shams University. Her career as a dancer first started in the 1970's when she performed with the Reda Dance Troupe.

She was names the "Last Egyptian Dancer" by the magazine Newsweek.
