He began his television comedy career after performing a standup act on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and subsequently was hired as a comedy writer.

Trivia

In 2013, he began a production company called Coled Blooded and produced a short-lived TBS comedy program called Deon Cole's Black Box.

Family Life

He was born and raised on Chicago, Illinois' South Side.
