Deborah M. Gordon

American biologist who has gained fame for her studies of ant colony behavior and ecology. She is the author of Ants at Work: How an Insect Society is Organized.

She earned a bachelor's degree in French from Oberlin College in 1976, an M.Sc. in biology from Stanford University in 1977, and a Ph.D. in zoology from Duke University in 1983.
