He's forever linked to a play in the 2002 NLCS, in which he scored the winning run as J.T. Snow heroically swooped a 3-year old bat boy off of home plate.

His brother Mike, his father Buddy, and his grandfather Gus all played in the MLB.

He and his grandfather, Gus Bell, became the first grandfather-grandson duo to both hit for the cycle in the MLB.
