Famous throughout the Baltic states, this young rower placed in both the 2013 and 2014 World Rowing Junior Championships. In the latter competition, which was held in Hamburg, Germany, he finished in second place with a final time of 7:09:08.

He began his rowing career in 2008, when he was just twelve years old.

In his first World Rowing Junior Championship, he advanced to the finals with an impressive time of 06:09.250.

He grew up in Estonia as the child of an Azerbaijani father.
