Screenwriter, comic book writer, and staff-writer who is best known for his work as a writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He is also known for having authored the children's books Princess Dinosaur and Santa's Husband as well as the comic book Marvel's Loki in 2019. 

Before Fame

After graduating from Columbia College, he started his career as a writer in 2013 when he co-authored the humor book How to Win at Everything which was released through Chronicle Books. He gained further attention in 2014 when he worked as a humor editor for BuzzFeed and founded the humor based website ClickHole. In 2015, he joined the writing staff for Stephen Colbert and in 2018 he joined the Marvel Comics staff.

He has also written for several other humor-based outlets and has been published in The New Yorker, McSweeneys, APM's Marketplace, and The Onion News Network. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois and married fellow writer and Harpers Bazaar Political Editor Jennifer Wright.
