Dan Marcel was a TikTok performer from the ivory Coast, known for his character "Maman de Dodo," or Dodo's Mom. He was also a member of the group 2Boys. He died in 2024 after a two-month illness after a suspected poisoning on his birthday. His comedic videos had earned him over 1.5 million followers on TikTok.

Before Fame

After growing up in Grand-Béréby, he moved to Abidjan where he earned a bachelor's degree in literature. In 2018, he posted his first comedy video, and created Maman de Dodo.

Trivia

He performed in The Voice Afrique Francophone, the French-speaking African version of The Voice.

Family Life

Not much is known about his family, but there was widespread support from his Ivorian fans online after his passing.
