He dated actress Drew Barrymore in 1989. He was married to his first wife, Vanessa Marcil, from 1989 to 1993. He had a child named Zen with Susie Sprague, whom he was married to from 2002 to 2014. He then married Courtney Anne Feldman in 2016 until their separation in 2024.
