Right-handed reliever that was originally selected as a ninth-round pick in the 2011 MLB draft pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was later acquired by the New York Yankees via trade in July of 2021. He was a first-time MLB All Star in the year 2022. 

Before Fame

He initially began his professional baseball career playing for the State College Spikes. After 13 games, he was promoted to the West Virginia Power.

Trivia

During his 2022 All Star season, he pitched 29 straight appearances without allowing a run, which is the longest in Yankees franchise history. During that span, he pitched 31.1 innings, which led all pitchers in the American League.

Family Life

As a child, he grew up living with his family in Dothan, Alabama. He would eventually go on to marry his wife in January of 2019.
