Perhaps most famous as the face of Wendy's 1980s "Where's the beef?" series of television commercials, she is also remembered for her role as Emma Jean in the 1985 comedy movie Moving Violations.

Before Fame

She did not begin her career in television commercials until her early eighties; prior to first TV appearance, she worked at a beauty salon for nearly four decades.

Trivia

She charmed television viewers with her "Where's the beef?" spots and helped the Wendy's fast food chain see more than a thirty-percent increase in profits in just one year.

Family Life

She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Her brief marriage resulted in two children.

Associated With

Democratic Party politician Walter Mondale adopted Peller's famous "Where's the beef" phrase for political use during the 1984 Democratic presidential primary.
