French actress and model known for her work in The Truth About Charlie, Identification of a Woman, and Flic Story, among her over 80 screen credits and numerous stage productions. She was also known for having a recurring role in the TV series Reports from 2007-2009. 

Before Fame

Her entry into the entertainment world began when she was 17 years old after she joined a modeling agency in Paris. Her appearance caught the attention of director Just Jaeckin and led to her film debut in Emmanuelle in 1974. She enrolled at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique and graduated in 1977. She then studied under Blanche Salant at the Atelier International de Théâtre. 

Trivia

She received the inaugural Prix Romy Schneider in 1984 which honored her as the most promising actress for her performance in Rue Barbare. She was an outspoken advocate for women's rights in the arts.

Family Life

She was born and raised in Salon-de-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhône, France. She has one daughter named Juliette Kowski. She passed away from lung disease due to smoking on October 21, 2024.
