Before Fame

She began performing on stage at five. She performed in musicals and took lessons in dancing and singing. Her early exposure to theater eventually led her to appear in films and on television. Her first film role was in Apollo 13 in 1995. She continued to build her filmography with roles in The Wedding Singer in 1998 and Coach Carter in 2005. Her big acting break was being cast in General Hospital in 2015. 

Trivia

She was involved in a severe car accident that resulted in the amputation of her left hand above the wrist in March 2009. She is a certified yoga instructor and has participated in marathons.

She was born and raised in Oxnard, California. She has a close relationship with her sister Riawna Capri.
