Main developer and claimed inventor of the classic board game Monopoly who invented some of the iconic drawings such as the red GO arrow, the railroad locomotives, the water works faucet, the electric company light bulb, and chance question marks.

Before Fame

During the Stock Market Crash of 1929 he lost his job at a sales company.

Trivia

A plaque was placed on The Boardwalk of Atlantic City following his death in his honor.

Family Life

He recruited his wife Ester and son William to help develop the game.

Associated With

He first pitched the game to Milton Bradley before The Parker Brothers eventually bought the rights.
