Charles Coles

American actor and dancer who starred in the 1983 Broadway production of My One and Only. His role earned him both a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award.

Before Fame

Early in his career, he was a part of a dance group called the Three Millers. He debuted on Broadway in the 1949 production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Trivia

In 2003, he was posthumously inducted into the Tap Dance Hall of Fame.

Family Life

He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He married Marion Coles.

Associated With

He appeared with Patrick Swayze in the popular 1987 film Dirty Dancing.
