Charles Brady Jr.

About

American physician and astronaut who flew on STS-78, which, at the time, set the record for the longest space mission ever at 16 days and 21 hours.

Before Fame

He worked as a team physician at Iowa State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University and became a flight surgeon for the U.S. Navy in 1986.

Trivia

He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Richard E. Luehrs Memorial Award for Navy Operational Flight Surgeon of the Year.

Family Life

He was married to Susen Oseth, and they had one son named Charles Brady III.
