She is also a respected actress, having appeared in a number of acclaimed films including 1966's Masculin, Feminin.

Before Fame

She and her family moved to Paris when she was 4 years old. She got her start as a pop singer in the ye-ye style in the mid-60's with singles like "C'est Bien Bernard."

Trivia

She set the record for having performed the greatest number of times on stage at the Palais des Congres in Paris, having performed there more than 350 times.

Family Life

She married composer and songwriter Jean-Jacques Debout in 1966.
