Carmen Lundy

American jazz singer, composer, and artist who has composed over forty songs including Quiet Times and At the End of my Rope. She played the lead role in Duke Ellington's musical Sophisticated Ladies.

Before Fame

She began singing when she was twelve and attended the University of Miami as an Opera major.

Trivia

As a painter, she had her work displayed at The Jazz Gallery in New York and the Madrid Theater in Los Angeles. She also created art for her liner notes.

Family Life

Her mother, Oveida, was also a singer and was part of a gospel choir called The Apostolic Singers.

Associated With

Her brother, Curtis Lundy, became a well-known bass player.
