English business executive, writer, film critic, and film festival programmer. He is the CEO of the Torornto International Film Festival (TIFF). This festival offers screenings, lectures, discussions, festivals, workshops, events, and professional development opportunities for filmmakers from Canada and around the world. He co-wrote the screenplays for The Planet of Junior Brown and Clement Virgo. 

Before Fame

He earned a degree from the University of Western Ontario. 

Trivia

He took on the role of director for the short film Hotel Saudade. Before becoming the CEO of TIFF, he worked as the artistic director. He was a film reviewer for Now, Canada AM, CBC Radio One, and Take One.

Family Life

Though he grew up in England, his parents are from Barbados.
